So before February ends … I wanted to share a few projects I have made this month. Two of the great things about this month are Valentine’s Day and chocolate. I didn’t get much of the latter but I had a great time with my boys this year.
We’ll start off with my dear husband who managed to pull off two midweek dates this month. It’s those quiet moments away from the kids which have become quite special for us. A quiet, cozy cafe and play were unexpected treat on a windy Wednesday.
I love these papers from the Glitz Hello Friend collection! I know some crafters hesitate using peach and pinks with their boys–but I say go for it. These colors give the page the right mood and were the perfect excuse to use a doily. No need to follow gender norms in the artistic arena.
A more traditional page with my littlest one when he was still a baby. Again this picture is not from VDay but I stumbled across it during one of my fruitless attempt to organize my pictures. Isn’t he a cutie?!?
Oh, how I am in love with this boy. Grey and red worked so well together … and I’m sure in the future, Michael will appreciate that I avoided pink.
Not so much in my next project …. featuring Gabriel’s school craft project. I was one happy momma when Gabriel came home with a popsicle framed picture of himself. Unfortunately so did my cat. She chewed up the foam hearts which were nicely layered (yes! he knows how to layer embellishment–I wonder where he learned that!?!). In an attempt to rescue and preserve his project I created this page using the Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic collection.
The pretty papers, stamping, and accents are light enough to not compete with his project–which I will treasure FOREVER!
Thanks for stopping by! I know I haven’t been blogging much lately but now that home computer has been repaired I promise to have more frequent updates of crafty inspiration and family fun.
Off to get some chocolate … all this Valentine’s talk has me craving sweets.

Cute layout, love how you scrapped his artwork
Beautiful layouts!!! I love the first one!!
Such sweet and lovely pages. I love you use of the doilies.
So cute, I love using peach and grey together for layouts of my hubby. Like you said, no need to follow the gender norms…it’s art!! I also love that your son knows to layer his embellishments. Hehehe
Wonderful layouts!! Now I want some chocolate!!! xo Evie
