I love being a mom

I am grateful for my boys. Everyday. Seriously! Even with the endless energy, constant whining, messy rooms and too much backtalk. Some days are easier than others. But there is always fun and happiness in our house. This stage of mothering is easy. Toddler tears and boo-boos can still be kissed away. Fears from nightmares and of trying new things can easily be soothed away. We have yet to encounter an issue in their lives that is not easily resolved.
I know that it will not always be this easy. I know that I won’t always be able to solve every problem in their lives–nor will I want to. My hugs will lose their magic touch. All those fun ideas might turn into parent-child conflicts. Maybe … or maybe everything will always stay as joyful as it is now. I’m hoping for the latter.
Inspired by Cathy Zielske, I’ve been writing a daily gratitude note. Without fail, the boys were mentioned everyday. As November closes I find myself playing catch-up on a number of projects. I noticed that despite innumerable layouts about the boys, few of these were about my joy of mothering. Luckily I have no shortage of photos of us so that will be remedied soon enough. Here are a few overloaded with pictures kids’ crafts from Mother’s Day. I used the Crate Paper’s’ Random Collection for these projects. Enjoy!

I can relate to these feelings too. Some days are definitely better than others, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
Sweet and beautiful pages!
So sweet, kids are the best. We are so very fortunate to be mothers.
