Today I’m gushing about the latest great ideas that others have recently shared with me. Beginning with adhesive washi sheets by We R Memory Keepers . Washi tape is so cute and versatile. The full size sheet is a treat! It is so much fun to play with so order yourself a few sheets in different colors.
I received the yellow and gray sheets. Of course, my first reaction was “CUTE!” My oldest is looking at me and begins complaining. “Why is everything cute to you? I’m cute. Michael’s cute. That’s cute!” Point taken. But he is cute. So I made this layout with about my handsome boy. With washi, this took about 10 minutes. Perfect if you have challenged yourself to LOAD (layout-a-day). The Authentique paper with its washed out denim hues needed a bit of color. Lucky me! I used the yellow polka dot pattern for a bold color block. I then added strips of washi to the butterflies. For those of us without a die-cutting machine, this washi sheet is perfect for making intricate cuts. Personally, it’s the gluing part that always tangles up my pretty paper cuts so I was overjoyed to not have to deal with that.

And speaking of cutting shapes–I am in love with circles. Using the Martha Stewart circle cutter and punches my brother bought me for my birthday, I made lots of circles. Super-easy to put together. Just peeled the backing off and the bubbles (I mean circles) captured the moment.
Speaking of great ideas … my mother-in-law shared a great one: pretty up mats with paper! Can I just say how easy this is? Made even easier with We R Memory Keepers washi sheets!!! With the holidays around the corner, I am highly recommending this project for most of your holiday needs. Once you put in a cute picture … viola … the perfect gift.
